You don't always have to build a business from scratch. A franchise (Franquicia) can be one way into the Spanish market — using a brand, a business model and an operating system that already exist.
In a franchise, in exchange for a defined investment and set fees, you gain the right to use a brand, an operating system and its support. The core relationship is between two sides:
Owner of the brand and the business model. Provides the know-how, training, operating system, suppliers and network experience.
You. You invest, pay an entry fee (Canon) and usually a percentage of sales (Royalty), and run the business to the brand's standards.
Don't look only at the Franchise Fee. The real starting capital is usually much more than the entry canon.
Check each brand's figures against the franchisor's own official, up-to-date sources; market figures can change.
